Las Vegas, NV — October 27, 2025 — The Philippine Times of Southern Nevada (PTSNV) proudly presents its latest issue, featuring the grand opening of the Fil-Am Central Executive & Co-Working Hub. The new facility anchors the Filipino Town Las Vegas Cultural District and stands as a symbol of Filipino unity and progress.
Located inside The Boulevard Mall, Fil-Am Central offers 11,000 square feet of creative and business space for Filipino professionals and community organizations. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was led by Consul General Atty. Adelio Angelito Cruz and Honorary Consul Amie Belmonte, joined by Carl Lorenzana Magno and Ruel Rodriguez—two longtime leaders of the local Filipino community.
“Fil-Am Central is more than a building. It is a statement of growth, collaboration, and cultural pride,” said Ruel Rodriguez, Founder of the Cavite Association of Nevada.
This edition celebrates inspiring stories of courage, compassion, and faith.
Together, these stories highlight the Filipino spirit of bayanihan — working together for the good of all.They also remind readers that faith and service remain central to community growth.

In addition, the 3rd Las Vegas Filipino Short Film Festival, presented by the Filipino American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Nevada (FACCGN), shined a light on 25 remarkable films.Each story explored identity, migration, and belonging with depth and authenticity.Moreover, the festival strengthened creative ties between Filipino and Fil-Am filmmakers across the globe.
In her O Kitchen column, Olivia Enriquez explores the deeper meaning behind the iconic dessert halo-halo in her article “Halo-Halo: Memory, Ice, and the Soul of Filipino Sweetness.”The story traces its humble beginnings in pre-war Manila to its global fame today.Through her narrative, Enriquez reveals how innovation and togetherness have always shaped Filipino life.
She reminds readers that, much like the dessert, Filipino identity is layered, colorful, and best enjoyed when shared.It is a story not just about food, but about community, history, and perseverance.
