Early voting for Nevada’s 2026 Primary Election is now underway across Southern Nevada. In short, registered voters can cast a ballot from Saturday, May 23 through Friday, June 5. Election Day then follows on Tuesday, June 9. Because turnout shapes funding for schools and local services, the Philippine Times of Southern Nevada encourages Filipino-American families to vote early. As a bonus, voting early also helps you avoid long Election Day lines.

Three Ways to Cast Your Ballot

This issue’s cover story breaks down the options Clark County voters have this primary season. Notably, the county automatically mails ballots to all active registered voters, so many residents can vote without leaving home.

• Vote by mail: Complete your mailed ballot, then drop it in any USPS mailbox (postmarked by June 9) or place it in an official drop box.
• In-person early voting: Prefer voting in person? You can visit early voting sites across Clark County through June 5, including community hubs such as the Desert Breeze Community Center and Galleria at Sunset.
• Do your homework: Before you vote, research the candidates. Nevada uses a closed primary system, so party affiliation determines which races appear on your ballot.

Same-Day Registration Is Available

Not registered yet? Fortunately, Nevada allows same-day registration at any early voting or Election Day location. As a result, eligible residents can register and vote in a single visit. Simply bring a valid Nevada driver’s license or ID showing a current address.
