Pangasinan Association of Southern Nevada Inducts May Ann Henderson as President

New Officers Take the Oath

The Pangasinan Association of Southern Nevada (PASN) inducted its new officers, led by President May Ann Henderson with Vice Presidents Emie Aribon and Dante Ulanday.

The night featured Honorable Consul General of the Los Angeles Consulate Adelio Angelito S. Cruz, whose mother is a proud Pangasinense, attending with his wife Kathy. Judges of the Clark County courts — Hon. Judge Bill Voy and Judge Bill Henderson — joined with Atty. Patricia Marr, alongside members of the wider Filipino American community.

Southern Nevada’s Filipino community organizes heavily by province of origin — Ilocano, Bicolano, Pangasinense, Cebuano — and those associations do the practical work of welcoming new arrivals, running scholarships, and turning out for civic events. “It was a night that saw the resilience, creativity and commitment of Filipinos to growth, enterprises and other worthwhile endeavors taking it beyond the Philippines,” Viernes writes.

Consul General Cruz has been a regular presence at valley events this season, including the Ilocano American Association of Nevada’s Filipiniana Gala Night at the Gold Coast.
