Philippine Times of Southern Nevada
Filipino News, Community & Culture in Las Vegas, Nevada | Philippine Times of Southern Nevada
The Philippine Times of Southern Nevada has published for the Filipino and Filipino-American community of Las Vegas and Clark County since 2006. This page explains who stands behind the paper and how it pays for itself, so readers can weigh our reporting knowing where it comes from.
The Philippine Times of Southern Nevada is part of the MCNM Marketing network, a Las Vegas digital marketing and business development company. We are a locally owned and operated community newspaper. We are not part of a national newspaper chain, and we are not owned or controlled by a government, a political party, a campaign, or an advocacy organization.
Because of that relationship, one disclosure rule applies without exception: when we report on MCNM Marketing, on a company MCNM works with, or on any business that advertises with us, we say so inside the story. Readers should never have to discover a connection after the fact.
Our revenue comes from three sources, all of them local:
No single advertiser accounts for a controlling share of our revenue, and no advertiser has ever been given approval over editorial content.
News decisions are made by the newsroom.
The full policy, including how we source and correct our reporting, is in our Editorial Standards and Corrections Policy. The people who produce the paper are listed on our masthead.
If something here is unclear, or you want to know whether a particular story involved an advertiser or a business relationship, ask us directly at editor@ptsnv.com. Advertising inquiries go to ads@ptsnv.com or (702) 608-4226.
We update this page whenever our ownership or funding changes.
