MANILA, June 12 (Mabuhay) — Kapamilya actor Joross Gamboa recently shared his latest milestone outside showbiz as he announced his graduation in a post.
In the post, the talented actor and comedian wears a black toga as part of this year’s batch of graduates. He wrote, “Global Life University (GLU) graduates of 2025 AB Biblical Studies Thank you Lord All Glory to God!”
Defining themselves as a great commission university committed to training the next generation of global leaders for the 21st century, the Global Life official website states that students will receive a Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies once they are able to complete their four year course which includes Practical Ministry on the first year, an Associate of Arts in Biblical Studies on their sophomore year, a degree in Theology in the third year before receiving an AB in Biblical Studies on the fourth year.
In the comments section, Joross received many well wishes from fans and friends from showbiz like Dennis Trillo, EA Guzman, Yasmin Kurdi, Shaira Diaaz, Juancho Trivino, Allen Dizon who all congratulated him on his achievement.
Having been part of the cast of country’s top three highest grossing films from Star Cinema like Rewind, Hello, Love, Goodbye, and The Hows of Us, Joross shared in a previous interview why he feels blessed in his career.
“To be honest, nakakatuwa ‘yung gesture na sinasabing lucky charm ako o pag nasa pelikula nagiging hit. I am truly grateful and thankful sa achievements pati sa mga naka-appreciate, pero all glory to God. Mas naniniwala ako [na] blessed. It is the other way around. Hindi ako swerte sa pelikula. Mas nakita ko blessed ako dahil napasama ako sa pelikula na tinatangkilik ng mga tao. Nakakatuwa mga achievements. Pero for me, it is just work. I am blessed to bless other people, to touch peoples lives sa industry na ito. Katulad lkami mga arıtsa bang nagtatrabaho. Difference lang lumalabas kami sa TV. Pero lahat taro pantay-pantay lang,” he shared.
Joross started out in showbiz as a contestant in ABS-CBN’s reality-based talent search Star Circle Quest (SCQ) in 2004 where he emerged second runner-up in the same batch as Grand Questor Hero Angeles and crowd favorite Sandara Park.
After turning 40 last year, Joross reaffirmed his faithfulness to God with a post with the caption, “Life doesn’t begin at 40. It begins when you surrender your life to Jesus Christ. Thank you, Lord, for my 40 yrs in this world, I belong to you,” Gamboa wrote. (MNS)
