FAMAN Joins Tet Festival
Las Vegas, NV. – JUST IN: Fil-Am Media Association of Nevada (FAMAN) Joins Vietnamese-American Community for Tết Festival, Celebrating Unity and the Year of the Snake
In a vibrant celebration of culture and community, FAMAN actively participated in the Tết Festival with the Vietnamese-American community of Las Vegas to usher in the Year of the Snake. This significant event, which was held at the Desert Breeze Community Center Sunday afternoon, highlighted the shared values of unity and diversity within the community.
Dignitaries in attendance echoed a common message of unity. Congressman Susie Lee, Mayor Shelley Berkley of Las Vegas, Sonny Vinuya representing Governor Lombardo, Assemblyman Duy Nguyen, Commissioner Justin Jones and Vida Lin of the Asian Community Development Council (ACDC) and other community leaders showed their support and enthusiasm for the festival’s message of unity.
Tuan A Pham, Chairman of the Board of Directors Vietnamese-American Community of Las Vegas (VACLV), highlighted the importance of such events in bringing together different cultural groups and fostering a sense of community. Leizel Trinidad, President of FAMAN, expressed her gratitude for the community’s support and emphasized the significance of unity in celebrating cultural diversity.
The Tết Festival not only welcomed the Lunar New Year but also served as a powerful reminder of the harmony that can be achieved when communities embrace their diversity and celebrate together. With food, music, and traditional performances, the festival was a resounding success, bringing joy and a sense of belonging to all who attended.
Other notable attendees included various community leaders like Joel Enriquez, President of the Filipino American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Nevada (FACCGN) with its creative director Olive Enriquez, contributed to the festival’s vibrant and inclusive atmosphere. Together, they exemplified the spirit of unity and cooperation that defines the Las Vegas community.
The Fil-Am Media Association of Nevada’s active participation in the event underscored the importance of media in connecting and strengthening diverse communities. As the Year of the Snake begins, the hope for continued unity and collaboration within the community remains strong.
